Eliese Livingston who has a 5-year-old son on the autism spectrum was shocked to find that her car’s autism awareness sign had been vandalized. On Livingston’s car is an autism awareness sticker reading, “Autistic child may not respond to verbal commands” which had stickers put on top of the sign reading things such as “undisciplined” and “spoiled brat.”
Livingston filed a police report and told KSL, “It’s just appalling, all of it. He will struggle for his entire life and people want to make fun of it?”
