This is a quote I often share that I came up with because of how wide the spectrum is. Like my friend Dr. Stephen Shore says “If you’ve met one individual with autism, you’ve met one individual with autism.” There’s no one size fits all and I truly believe it takes that family, that village, who will never give up, to help our loved ones progress and go after their dreams. I also have another quote based on my journey growing up on the autism spectrum from nonverbal to professional speaker where I say “Autism can’t define me. I define autism.”
What are some of your favorite quotes out there in the autism community? Would love to hear about a few of them in the comments!
