Becky G Opens Up About Having a Brother on the Autism Spectrum

Becky G who is probably most well known for her career as a pop-singer, rapper and actress also happens to have a 19-year-old brother on the autism spectrum. Becky shared via her Instagram last year for World Autism Awareness Day and Autism Awareness Month about her brother Alex for the first time.

Becky G shared on Instagram. “He has taught me so many things. I’m so thankful to have him in my life. My love goes out to all the kids with autism and families…”

Everyone this is my brother Alex. You guys don’t see much of him because he’s not as present on social media like @iamfrankieg and @iamstephig ❤️ I just needed to take a second to say that Alex is one of the best things that’s happened to our family. I know everyone who knows him can agree. He’s loving and so smart. Growing up with a brother who has autism wasn’t the easiest. I can say though that along the way he has taught me so many things. 1 of those things being PATIENCE. He’s also showed me that it’s important to be honest. Alex speaks with no filter. He tells you exactly what’s on his mind and tells you how it is. I’m so thankful to have him in my life. My love goes out to all the kids with autism and families that have special one of a kind little gems like these kids. 💙 #LIGHTITUPBLUE #AUTISMAWARENESSDAY
