As someone on the autism spectrum who loves theater, I hope my role as an autism entertainment consultant is something I can continue doing for many years to come.
The projects I’ve consulted on have included “Joyful Noise” (Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton), “Jane Wants a Boyfriend” (Eliza Dushku, Louisa Krause) and HBO’s “Mrs. Fletcher” (Kathryn Hawn). I joined these projects as each one had a character on the autism spectrum where I tried to make them as realistic a portrayal as possible.
