A Colorado Kindergarten teacher is facing dismissal after allegedly saying “I’m so tired of hearing about special needs children…They were re****** before COVID and they’ll still be re****** after…Do you really think they will be any different after staying a year at home with their parents…Sorry, you f***** got pregnant and had a re****** kid. Your problem not mine. And yes, I’m a f****** teacher.”
As a former student with special needs who was called the r-word on numerous occasions, I hope that we can continue to promote acceptance for our special community and fight ignorance. It’s not only children sadly but it can be adults as well being the ignorant ones. Another area which I hope we can spread awareness of is the importance of never using the r-word in a derogatory fashion. Thank you.
