In 2013, I stumbled upon a Youtube video featuring Sarah Moretti, a young girl with autism who absolutely LOVES Tom Hanks. Sarah had spent years putting together a scrapbook with pictures and articles featuring her favorite actor. Everything from Forest Gump to Polar Express was put in the scrapbook.
Hanks had heard through his PR team about Sarah’s scrapbook and when she went to his Broadway play ‘Lucky Girl’ decided to meet the young girl back stage after the show. Hanks shared how amazing the scrapbook was while they went through it. At the end he gave her a giant hug.
