As reported by Disability Scoop and The Mighty, these new sneakers designed for people with disabilities are receiving some HUGE love from our community. Nike a few years ago came out with the Zoom Soldier 8 that were their first shoe for people with disabilities. This shoe was inspired based off a young a teenager who has cerebral palsy.
The new shoes include The Lebron Solider 9 FLYEASE which are now available on Nike’s website. The Pegasus 32 FLYEASE will be available on April 1, 2016 and the Flex Run FLYEASE on May 1, 2016.

A few months ago I wrote a letter to Nike on their first shoe for people with disabilities after having the chance to purchase a pair of the Zoom Soldier 8. I hope in the future if Nike reads this letter that they will reach out to me in the hopes of a possible collaboration. I’d love the opportunity to share my story with their employees about overcoming obstacles with autism while also consulting about ways to make these shoes more autism-friendly as well. It would also be a tremendous honor to share how we can help employ those with disabilities in the workforce with Nike.
