This week I was a guest on the Special Chronicles radio show which features individuals with disabilities and their stories. I wanted to give a quick shoutout to Daniel “PodmanDan” Smrokowski, the host of this radio show for letting person with special needs. Daniel today interviews people with special needs including their families, friends and anyone who touches their lives.
In our radio segment which you can watch above we discussed the need for more disability advocacy within our community. Today over 68 million individuals in the United States have a diagnosed disability. “In our society, we need to start recognizing that, regardless if you have a disability or not it doesn’t make you any less of a person. It just makes you who you are.”
In addition we discussed my work as an autism advocate and broke down my work on several autism films today including Joyful Noise, Jane Wants a Boyfriend, Big Daddy Autism and Don’t Foil My Plans.
