A Letter to Ayesha Curry From Someone on the Autism Spectrum

Dear Ayesha Curry,

I don’t know if this letter will ever get to you but I wanted to say thank you…

Last year you graciously volunteered your time to help people with autism like me by attending Autism Speaks to Los Angeles Celebrity Chef Gala. When I heard that you were attending I was ecstatic. When I later learned that you were participating as one of the Celebrity Sous Chef’s though was when I was truly inspired.

I’ve always said that we need more and more celebrities to show their support to philanthropic causes. By your example, along with the examples of the countless other chefs and celebrities who attended, you brought awareness to a cause that is near and dear to my heart.

I first learned about your heart from getting to learn more about your food blog that your husband (one of my favorite basketball players) Stephen Curry mentioned. Instantly I saw your commitment to being a food master but also by being a fantastic mom to your two daughters.

I hope one day I might be able to meet both of you and thank you for what you’ve done not only for the basketball world for basketball enthusiasts such as myself but for our tight-knit autism community. You’ve made me a fan of the entire Curry family. I wish you all nothing but the best in the future.

Your friend,

Kerry
