NBC News with Lester Holt recently shared the contributions of some amazing young adults in our autism community! Exceptional Minds, a vocation school based in California, helps their students with autism to pursue careers in digital animation and visual effects!
In the story above they mention that graduates of this program were able to work on Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 2, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Road Chip! 90% of adults with autism today in the United States are unemployed or underemployed showing the massive impact programs like these can have for our loved ones.

I currently consult within the film industry to help bring a realistic portrayal of autism to the big screen based on my experiences on the autism spectrum and excelling in theatre. In 2012 I worked on the motion picture Joyful Noise (Queen Latifah, Dolly Parton) based one of their characters who was a teenager with Aspergers Syndrome. I later went on to work on the 2016 indie-film Jane Wants a Boyfriend that looks at a young woman with autism trying to find love in NYC. Need help with your next film project?
