Broadway actor Kelvin Moon Loh has received national acclaim for his open letter he wrote after a boy with autism interrupted a performance of “The King and I” which Kelvin stars in. The boy was shouting and one member in the audience didn’t take kindly too the interruption.
Kelvin wrote in his letter “When did we as theater people, performers and audience members become so concerned with our own experience that we lose compassion for others? She paid the same price to see the show as you did for her family. Her plan, as was yours, was to have an enjoyable afternoon at the theater.”
