A school principal in Canberra, Australia received national scrutiny for allowing school funds to build a classroom cage for a 10-year-old boy with autism. The cage was used as a place to “calm down” the child and was only used once before dismantled through the order of the Australian Capital Territory (ACT) Education Directorate.
The principal was later fired. Education Minster Joy Burch responded to the troubling actions via an interview with Daily Mail that you can watch below.
