Hero with Autism Saves Classmate with Heimlich Maneuver he Learned From SpongeBob

Can’t make these types of stories up! 13-year-old Brandon Williams who is on the autism spectrum who attends Barnes Intermediate School in Staten Island sprung into action to save his fellow classmate Jessica who had been choking. He credits learning the heimlich maneuver after seeing it done while watching “Spongebob Squarepants” one of his favorite shows. 🙂

Even more adorable? Some of the adults at his school said Brandon deserved a medal and he said, “I don’t need a medal. I’m good; I’m good.

Way to go Brandon! You can read more of the story at Slive.com here
