A documentary called “Life, Animated” focused on a man with autism who made tremendous strides through Disney films will be released starting July 1st in select theaters in New York and Los Angeles! The film will later be showing in other theaters later in the summer.

The film that is based on award-winning author Ron Suskind’s book “Life Animated: a story of Sidekicks, Heroes and Autism” has already received critical acclaim. Justin Chang, chief film critic for Variety said about the film, The busy subgenre of documentaries featuring autistic subjects gets a strong new entry in “Life, Animated,” a captivating portrait of a young man for whom Disney animated movies have provided a powerful lifeline to progress, language and understanding.”
Earlier this year the Sundance Film Festival featured the documentary where it won the Directing Award for U.S. Documentaries.
