New TV Series Will Focus on a Family Who Have a Child with Autism

SundanceTV will be bringing autism to the national spotlight with a six-episode series called “The A-Word.”

Joel Stillerman, president of original programming and development for AMC and SundanceTV told Disability Scoop, “The ‘A-Word’ is exactly the kind of intimate, unique and emotionally impactful story we want to showcase on SundanceTV. It’s hopeful, honest and ultimately about the power of family, and the range of issues that families can face together, from autism to aging to adultery.”

The show will focus on a newly diagnosed boy with autism and his family. The show will premiere on SundanceTV on March 2nd, 2016.

Looking to highlight autism in film and/or television. I work with the entertainment industry to help bring a real of portrayal of autism to the big screen! Learn more about how we can collaborate here.
