Timothy Mashburn, a 12-year-old boy with autism was featured on the NFL Network for his inspiring story. Mashburn went to a Play60 event which was hosted by the Philadelphia Eagles called Huddle Up for Autism and after the experience became a fan of both football and the Eagles.
After this experience, Mashburn’s behavioral therapist suggested him playing football as a way to become more active and make friends. Through his efforts and willingness to try new things, Mashburn is now on his middle school’s JV Van Reed Bulldogs team and has started most of the games.
If that wasn’t enough Mashburn has met pro football players such as Sam Bradford & Tim Tebow.
