While people begin their holiday shopping during Black Friday and Cyber-Monday, Giving Tuesday begins the charitable season of end of the year giving for worthy causes around the world! One of those causes that needs your support with a tax-deductible donation here is our Making a Difference for Autism Scholarship Program, which helps students with autism go to college! Without your support, our scholarship program wouldn’t be able to do what we do.
This year, on Tuesday, December 1, 2015, KFM Making a Difference, an organization that gives out scholarships for students with autism for college, are participating in #GivingTuesday, a global day dedicated to giving.
Last year, more than 27,000 organizations in 68 countries came together to celebrate #GivingTuesday. Since its founding in 2012, #GivingTuesday has inspired giving around the world, resulting in greater donations, volunteer hours, and activities that bring about real change in communities. We invite you to join the movement and to help get out and give this December 1!
50,000 children with autism become adults with autism every year meaning college will be a possibility for some. With the average cost of autism costing 60,000 dollars for a person with autism though it takes a village for us to be able to see a post-secondary education be a possibility for many of our loved ones!
