I’m excited to announce the launch of The “Kerry Magro Special Education Teacher, Therapist, and Aide Grant”, which holds a deeply personal significance for me, as it is rooted in my own journey from being a nonspeaking child with autism to becoming a professional speaker and advocate. My life has been profoundly shaped by the dedication and compassion of the educators, therapists, and aides who believed in me when I couldn’t yet express myself. Their unwavering support, patience, and innovative approaches in the classroom not only helped me find my voice but also inspired me to use that voice to make a difference for others. Without these incredible individuals, I wouldn’t be the person I am today, and I am forever grateful for the impact they had on my life.
This grant open to U.S. schools aims to support not only special education teachers but also the dedicated therapists and aides who play a crucial role in creating inclusive and supportive environments for students with special needs. Whether you are a teacher, therapist, or aide, this $1,000 grant is here to help you provide the resources necessary to make a meaningful impact during the 2024-2025 academic year. The funds may be used for a variety of needs, including sensory tools, adaptive technology, specialized curriculum materials, and classroom modifications.
