Glamour Magazine recently highlighted the story of celebrity model Jacquelyn Jablonski who has a 20-year-old brother on the autism spectrum. In addition to being an autism advocate and spreading autism awareness, she has recently started a nonprofit called Autism Tomorrow that is focused on providing opportunities for those with autism as they transition to adulthood.
Jablonski told Glamour, “At the moment, when school ends we don’t know what’s next. I don’t want him to just sit around at home all day, or for any of these young adults to not continue to grow. It’s a quality of life.”
You can read more about Jablonski’s efforts at Glamour here. Because of Jablonski’s advocacy we highlighted her in our list of 5 celebrities who have siblings on the autism spectrum that you can read here.
I give talks that are focused on the importance of siblings in our autism community. Want to collaborate? You can learn more about a collaboration by contacting me here.
