Thanks to PBS & Independent Lens, members of our autism community were given the opportunity to watch a free screening of the feature length film Autism in Love which features 4 adults with autism pursuing love on the autism spectrum. I was given the opportunity to be a panelist for the screening as we discussed love & autism with our community.
During the screening I shared about new book ‘Autism and Falling in Love’ which discusses my personal experiences trying to find love on the autism spectrum. I also shared a bit about Autism Speaks resources for helping adults with autism. I said during the panel…
“Autism Speaks just started a new employment initiative called TheSpectrumCareers.com that is a new jobs
portal designed to promote inclusive employment of the autism community connecting employers, service providers and employees on the spectrum. Its helping provide resources to employers but also helping adults with autism find jobs. Highly recommend.”
I want to thank PBS & Independent Lens for doing the screening and accepting Autism and Love for over 75 screenings around the U.S. to get the word out about autism!
