Dwayne Johnson (aka The Rock) appeared on Oprah’s Master Class where a part of his interview was focused on how he suffered from depression when he was 23 after being cut from the CFL and not being drafted in the NFL.
The Rock said, “I wish I had someone at that time who could just pull me aside and [say], ‘Hey, it’s going to be OK. One of the most important things you can realize is that you’re not alone. You aren’t the first person to go through it.”
I wanted to share his video with you today as this message is something I share with many families when I speak today. It’s important to know that you are never alone in this community. Everyone is going to go through struggles but no matter the obstacle, whether it be having difficulty with autism, depression, OCD, ADD, ADHD, dyslexia, you name it, you have a village out there to help support you.
