Award-Winning Autism Advocate Dr. Kerry Magro to Release New Book on March 25

HOBOKEN, NJ – March 2025 – Award-winning autism advocate, professional speaker, and best-selling author Dr. Kerry Magro is set to release his highly anticipated book, Autistics on Autism: The Next Chapter, available on Amazon starting March 25, 2025. This book is a powerful collection of stories from autistic voices, including Kerry’s own autism journey from nonspeaking to professional speaker.

Diagnosed with autism at age four, Magro was nonspeaking until two and a half and did not speak in full sentences until age seven. Through years of therapy and perseverance, he overcame significant communication challenges and today is a full-time professional speaker, sharing his experiences with schools and companies on neurodiversity and inclusion to inspire and educate others. In this book, he not only shares his personal journey but also amplifies the voices of other autistic individuals, offering a raw and authentic look into life on the spectrum.

Why This Book Matters

Autism awareness and acceptance remain more critical than ever. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 1 in 36 children in the United States is diagnosed with autism and 1 in 45 adults, marking a significant increase in diagnoses over the past two decades. Despite growing recognition, misconceptions, lack of resources, and societal barriers still impact the lives of autistic individuals.

With April being Autism Acceptance Month, this book arrives at a pivotal time, providing firsthand perspectives from autistic individuals themselves. Autistics on Autism: The Next Chapter serves as a call to action for greater inclusion, understanding, and support for autistic individuals of all abilities. By centering the voices of those with lived experience, Magro hopes to shift the narrative from awareness to true acceptance and advocacy.

“Autistic individuals deserve to have their voices heard,” says Magro. “For too long, conversations about autism have been led by those who aren’t on the spectrum. I always say, ‘Dont just read a book to learn about autism. Learn by getting to know people who have autism.”

Magro, who has dedicated his life to autism advocacy, has been featured on NBC’s Today Show, CBS News, and the New York Times. His work as an entertainment consultant includes projects such as Netflix’s Emmy Award-winning Love on the Spectrum U.S., and The Present with Greg Kinnear and Isla Fisher.
